State Colleges in California
California has a terrific system of public colleges. Most of the bigger cities have a good, affordable state college. Here is a sample:
California State University Long Beach is an example of one of California state schools. Close to 40,000 students attend this campus.
UC Davis is one of the University of California campuses.UC Davis has about 30,000 students.
San Francisco State University is another great option in the Bay Area. They also have around 30,000 students attending.
Even with all of the top-quality and reasonably prices colleges in the state, some high school seniors have their sites set on colleges in other states.
Most students stick fairly close to home, attending a college somewhere else on the West Coast, Arizona or Nevada. Others want to enroll at one of the old, well-known East Coast colleges in states such as Massachusetts and Connecticut. And still others want to attend a traditional big state college in the upper Midwest, maybe the one that their parents graduated from, perhaps in a place such as Wisconsin, Illinois or Indiana.
Wherever you decide to attend, good luck.
